This five-module Peer Support Specialist Advanced Skills course (1) Focuses on developing a resilient mindset, overcoming challenging experiences, creating healing, and breaking negative thought patterns; (2) Focuses on enhancing positive emotions, self-regulating, and transforming negative emotions.; (3) Explores strategies for learning from mistakes and setbacks and how to develop self-confidence, self-efficacy, and self-control, which contribute to resilience; (4) Explores the capacity to foster, engage in, and sustain positive relationships; and (5) Promotes health and well-being with our clients through Motivational Interviewing (MI).
